What happens to a returned Used Toner Cartridge?
All returned Used Toner Cartridges are cleaned and
dismantled. The outer case is reused in a Lasertech
Branded Cartridge.
All the internal components of the toner cartridge are
recycled - these parts are returned back into their base form.
Base materials are often used to make products such as wire
spools, tractor parts, plastic buttons and a host of other
useful items.
What happens to a returned Used InkJet Cartridge?
All print head Ink Cartridges are tested and if the complex
circuitry is intact they are reused.
What are Toner Cartridges made from?
A toner cartridge consists of both plastic and metals
including aluminium.
How does the environment benefit?
During the year of 1999 over 7 million toner cartridges were
consumed in the UK alone. Only 25% of these were recycled
– therefore 5.25 million were thrown away as waste.
The plastic that is used in each toner cartridge takes at least
ten decades to decompose. Recycling these products reduces
this impact upon the environment.

How do I join the Lasertech Recycling Programme?
To join the Lasertech Recycling Programme please complete
the enclosed application form and fax it back to Lasertech on
0870 787 07 08.
How do Lasertech pay you?
• Send you a credit note which can be used to buy over
9,000 products.
• Donate 20% of your credit to a Lasertech beneficiary
charity like Breakthrough Breast Cancer or The Prince's Trust,
the remaining 80% will be sent to you as a credit note
and allocated to your own account.
• Send you High Street Shopping Vouchers.
How does the collection process work?
• Call Lasertech and arrange a free collection on
0870 787 23 23.
• Lasertech will fax you a Cartridge Returns Form to be
completed and faxed back.
• Place the returns form in box.
• Securely tape up the collection bin, instruction on how to
do this are provided.
• A new Lasertech Collection Bin will delivered at the
same time as your collection.
