Lasertech are one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of printer consumables in the UK. Lasertech also offer customers the opportunity to return their empty printer, fax and photocopier cartridges, thus conserving the environment and saving money for their business or school.
The European Union's WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) is forcing OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to provide recycling facilities for the products they sell. This year it is estimated that 800 million inkjet cartridges and 190 million toner cartridges will be sold worldwide. OEMs will have to invest a large amount of money in recovering these cartridges and it is feared that the cost incurred by the legislation, will be added on to the price of the cartridge.
The Lasertech Recycling Programme is one step ahead of this legislation, already providing customers with an environmentally sound solution to recovering, recycling and reusing their empty cartridges. Lasertech provide free collection bins to collect cartridges in and offer a free collection service once full. Customers are paid up to £10.00 for each empty cartridge returned and are given the option to either save the money and/or donate a percentage to a Lasertech beneficiary charity.
Lasertech have three national beneficiary charities, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, The Prince's Trust and NCH 'The Children's Charity,' as well as several local charities.
The Lasertech Recycling Programme has been tailored to make it easy for businesses, schools and other organisations to take part. If your organisation already has a collection programme operated by a licensed company, then Lasertech will be able to exceed the terms of this agreement while providing an excellent service.
