Lasertech and NCH team up to raise funds and environment awareness with the Lasertech Recycling Programme

Following the recent success of the Lasertech Recycling Programme (LRP), Lasertech have now partnered up with another national charity; NCH 'The Children's Charity'. The aim of the partnership is to raise much needed funds for the projects run by the NCH, whilst raising awareness about environmental issues and providing businesses, schools and organisations with the opportunity to save money. As the NCH is now beneficiary charity of the LRP customers can donate 30% of the credit received, directly to them.

Lasertech are one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of Printer Consumables in the UK with a successful franchise network. Lasertech offer their customers the opportunity to collect and save their empty cartridges in a recycle bin and in return receive credit or cash on their account. With the LRP; customers have a solution to their environmental and cost concerns.

Staff from Lasertech Head Office were invited to speak at the NCH Youth Fundraisers Annual Conference, about how the Lasertech Recycling Programme will benefit NCH, UK Schools and the environment.

With the help of the LRP, NCH will gain sales leads and customers for lasertech. Around 60 NCH Youth Fundraisers will be visiting over 2000 schools in England from September, to promote various fundraising activities including the LRP.

Through the programme, Lasertech will help to raise much needed funds to support the 500 projects reaching more over 100,000 vulnerable children, young people and their families. NCH improves the lives of the UK's most vulnerable children and young people by offering them diverse, innovative and responsive services and by campaigning for change.

Lasertech manufacture their own products at two production facility's based in Warrington, Cheshire. When an empty cartridge is recovered through the LRP it will be sent back to the factory and used again to manufacture a new cartridge. All internal components of a toner cartridge are be recycled back to their base form with only the outer shell being re-used. With an Ink cartridge the old residue of the ink in the chamber will be flushed out, parts will be changed and it will then be filled with the correct ink. These products are far to complex to be made outside a factory environment.
