An Education in Recycling

Lasertech, one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of printer, fax and copier cartridges in the UK exhibited for the first time at the UK's leading event for Educational resources, The Educational Show 2004.




The show took place at the NEC in Birmingham from 11-13 March, attracting over 600 exhibitors and 19,000 visitors, mainly teachers from Primary and Secondary Schools. The main objective was to promote awareness of Recycling within schools.

The Lasertech Recycling Programme has been running very successfully for over 2 years, offering customers the unique opportunity to save empty cartridges in a free recycling bin provided by Lasertech. Once the bin is full, it is collected, and the customer receives credit on their account, Up to £10.00 per cartridge returned. They can choose to donate a percentage to a chosen charity.




Lasertech work very closely with three National Charities, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, The Princes Trust and NCH. Fundraisers from NCH - the Children's Charity joined Lasertech on their stand along with Cedric (their mascot) to help promote the Lasertech Recycling Programme.

The show was a huge successful with many schools signing up on the spot, and promising to donate a percentage of all the credits they receive to NCH.
